'Tis The Season
As we enter this Holiday Season, remember those who are struggling locally and across our state. We committed to donating to help our friends in Western NC. Over $5,000 was sent through Samaritan's Purse for what was needed most, such as gasoline for chainsaws and diesel fuel for heavy equipment. Thank you for shopping at the Habitat ReStore and making this donation possible.
Our mission is to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We want to continue increasing the number of affordable housing units available in 2025 and beyond. Our biggest challenge is funding and land to build on. We are pivoting from building one house on one lot to combining lots when possible and building townhomes. The family still owns the land they are built on but shares a roof with others. This will allow us to build more affordable housing, which is desperately needed in Lee County.
We would love to tell our story and explain how we help people own affordable housing. Don't hesitate to contact us if you want us to speak to your group, your church, or even your business. You can reach us at 919-774-6767 or email kandice@habitatsanfordnc.org.
Blessings,
Kimberly Rau, Executive Director
Timothy 6:17-19 "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life."

Building Update
We are excited to share that we have closed on the home for Family #52 and anticipate closing on the home for Family #53 by the end of the year. The students are making great progress on their second house since their partnership with us.

Habitat in the Community
We are hosting our First Friday Christmas at the Stevens Center! Spread the word and join us for a night of fun!

Critical Repair Program

Thanks to a grant from Lowe's Home Improvement, we were able to complete a big repair for a homeowner to ensure safe entry and exit. We also received grants from Pfizer and United Way for repairs and are accepting applications.
Donors and Partners Shoutout
We want to thank all of our sponsors and donors from the past quarter! We could not do this without your continued help and support!
