Volunteers like you are the heart of our organization. Our volunteers work alongside our homeowners and help them on their journey toward homeownership. There are numerous ways to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity of Sanford (whether as an individual or a group).

Regulations on the Work Site

All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All volunteers are required to sign a waiver. A separate waiver is required by all persons 18 or under and must be signed by the volunteer and their parent or legal guardian. Waiver forms are available on the Volunteer hub

Safety

We provide a construction supervisor and a minimum of one competent construction worker. We supply all the safety equipment you will need, hard hats, protective glasses, etc. You are welcome to bring your own. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes, no flip-flops. Dress appropriately and wear sunscreen.

How You Can Volunteer:

Group Volunteering

For churches, businesses, organizations, and groups of friends and/or family wishing to join one of our projects, this is a great way to find out if becoming a Core Volunteer is right for you.
