Habitat for Humanity of the Sanford Area, NC is a movement of people in Lee County, working together to build a more prosperous and vibrant community by building homes with local families to have a decent, safe, and affordable place to call home. Since our founding in 1989, together we have built alongside 54 families, enabling them to achieve financial independence and create a foundation for thriving lives through access to decent, affordable homes.
We are determined, brave, and solve problems. We tackle the big challenge of expanding access to affordable homes for local families, removing barriers to homeownership by providing affordable financing. Our responsible stewardship ensures every donation directly builds homes. In the past four years, we have built a total of 6 homes, a testament to the power of community support.
As a Christian organization, we choose housing as the means to put God's love into action because home is a foundation for health, education, well-being, dignity, and wealth for all people. We joyfully unite people of all backgrounds – from all faiths and those with no faith – in our work to build homes, communities, and hope. We have hard work to do.
